Agila Social And Economic Carnival - Who We Are, Our Programs & Acomplishments

WHO WE ARE

Agila Carnival is a non-profit organisation whose aim is to improve the health, well-being and self-reliance of the Idoma people.

We are dedicated to enriching lives, and increasing people’s choices and possibilities for realizing their potential.

Agila Social and Economic Carnival was founded by Idoma's own son, Business mogul and philanthropist, Prince Edwin Ochai who was pained by the social and economic backwardness of the Idoma people. He then saw the need to alleviate the poverty in the Idoma land, nourishing talents and exposing his people to investment opportunities.

OUR PROGRAMS

Face of Idoma is an annual Beauty Pageant aimed at empowering and enriching the Idoma culture, UNITING & EDUCATING the Girl Child in Nigeria.

Founded in 2013, Face Of Idoma was created to bring together those of Idoma descent, both living overseas and in other lands. The aim of the event is to embody the meaning of what it is to be an Idoma.

The beauty pageant encourages contestants to embrace their heritage and learn what it means to truly represent their Motherland. To get the winning contestants working very closely with Benue State based charities, making a change in Idoma Land. By working together and building one another.
