Buhari Suspends Ruga Settlement Project

After a meeting with the governor's forum, President Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Ruga settlement scheme.

The settlement proposal which has met vehement rejection by Nigerians the past few days was, according to the government, intended to settle the recurrent clash between herdsmen and farmers in Nigeria.

The suspension, President Buhari said, remains until a more nationally acceptable approach is provided.

Gen Muhammadu Buhari, Borno state Governor Kashim Shettima & Lai Mohammed Knows The Whereabout Of the Missing Chibok girls


The spokesperson of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organization, Fem Fani-Kayode has alleged that the APC Presidential candidate, Gen Buhari, Borno state Governor Kashim Shettima and APC National Publicity secretary Lai Mohammed, knows where the missing Chibok girls are.

Fani-Kayode said this in a statement he released today responding to a statement by the APC doubting President Jonathan's comments in his interview on AIT that the Chibok girls are still alive. 

According to Femi Fani-Kayode, if the girls are not found, Gen Buhari and the APC should be held responsible..

Nigeria likely to Experience large Scale Violence - Jonathan likely to win, Ex-US Ambassador says


A former US Ambassador to Nigeria, John Campbell, has warned that Nigeria is likely to experience large scale violence as a result of the upcoming general elections.
Campbell stated this in a report titled ‘Nigeria’s 2015 Presidential Election: Contingency Planning Memorandum Update,’ which was published and released by the US Council on Foreign Relations.

On Election Date Postponmet: Buhari Calls on Supporters to Remain Calm


Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, APC Presidential Candidate on Sunday in Abuja, urged supporters and party faithfuls to be calm and have faith in INEC and the rescheduled general elections.
Buhari made the statement while briefing newsmen in Abuja following the decision by INEC to postpone the 2015 general elections by six weeks.

APC Presidential Candidate Muhammadu Buhari Sued again Over Credentials

A fresh suit has been instituted against the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC),Muhammadu Buhari in a bid to have him disqualified from the upcoming polls.
A Federal High Court in Abuja, on Monday, February 2, ordered that court papers be served on Buhari for the new case against him instituted by one Max Ozoaka.
Ozoaka wants Buhari to be disqualified for failing to submit his academic credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) along with his nomination form. INEC is a co-defendant in the case.
