Shiite Members Storm National Assembly, Shoot Security Operatives

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, otherwise known as Shiite, have on Tuesday wreak havoc in the National Assembly complex, gunning two officers of the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.

The Shiite members who had in their hundreds stormed the complex, resorted to violence when security operatives shot gas-cannisters to disperse them.

Aside from the attack, the group destroyed three vehicles and other assembly properties.

As at the time of filing this report, Assembly gates have been locked, movement restricted.

Allegedly Hired Crowd Counter Protest Against COZA Senior Pastor

In reaction to the protest by the #ChurchToo movement demanding justice for Busola Dakolo allegedly raped by the COZA senior pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo over a decade ago, a counter protest sprung up in Abuja.

Reports have it that the counter-protesters were hired by the church to stop the action of protesters, as one of the young men allegedly hired told newsmen that they were paid N10,000 each for the project. "Money is talking," he exclaimed on camera.

While Fatoyinbo yet denies the allegation, the separate protests in Lagos and Abuja have further fueled debate on the issue, especially online.

Protest in Abuja Over Rape Allegations Against COZA Senior Pastor

Protests have begun in the FCT, Abuja, following rape allegations against the COZA senior pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo, by Busola Dakolo, the photographer wife of inspirational singer, Timi Dakolo.

Adorned in white, in solidarity to rape victims, the protesters who converged at the NNPC fueling station in Guzape, had placards with inscriptions condemning rape, and others stating that the church should be a place of safety.

Meanwhile, reports have it that some protesters have been arrested by unidentified law enforcement agents and taken away in a black Mercedes Benz car.

Lady Calls Out D'Prince, Rema, Others



Although she insists that her friends are not prostitutes, an Abuja based lady identified as Samantha has called out D'Prince, Rema, Rema's manager and celebrity barber, Kriz Blac, for not paying them for their time after a sleepover.


Samantha took to social media when after leaving her friends back at the hotel in the hope that the celebrities would tip them, her friends contacted her to tell her that their hosts had left whilst they were still asleep.

Samantha said that even though her friends had offered only cuddles, they deserve pay for their time.

New Deadline for PVC Collection Extended to to March 8th - INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has further extended the deadline for collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) until Sunday, March 8th, 2015.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Commission, Augusta Ogakwu in Abuja on Monday.

Consistant Use of High Heeled Shoes Can Cause Bad Body Posture - Expert Says


Patience Onyemaechi, Chief Nursing Officer, Accident and Emergency Ward, Wuse General Hospital, Abuja, says consistent use of high heeled shoes can cause bad posture.
Onyemaechi said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja.
She said wearing high heels could make women look stylish, confident and tall but could lead to an adverse effect on a person’s body posture.

Missing $20bn: President. Jonathan Receives Forensic Audit on NNPC | Says No Cause for Alarm


President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday in Abuja received the Forensic Audit report on the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) from the international auditing firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
He said that the report would help to address the lapses in the oil industry and help the administration to address the misconceptions in the industry.
