The Ogun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) has expelled former President, Olusegun Obasanjo.
Obasanjo’s expulsion from the party was announced by the state PDP on Monday, February 16, after the former President tore his membership card in public, Punch reports.
The former President tore the card during a meeting with PDP leaders who visited his Abeokuta home to urge him to stop criticizing President Goodluck Jonathan.
The party members also reportedly informed Obasanjo that the leaders were planning to expel him from the PDP.
The former President has repeatedly criticized Jonathan and on Saturday, February 14, accused him of attempting to tamper with the upcoming general elections.
