Egypt Pull Out Of AFCON 2017 Bid


Egypt has pulled out of the race to secure the hosting right of the 2017 African cup Of Nations. The was made known by the Egypt's sport minister sports minister Khaled Abdel-Aziz
"We have decided to withdraw our application and will support that of Algeria," he explained.
Ghana and Gabon are also still in the race as country to host the AFCON will be announced by CAF on 8 April.

Khaled Abdel-Aziz did not point out the reason behind the decision but was talking after FIFA executive committee member Hany Abu Rida said it did not make sense for two Arab countries to compete against each other.
"Egypt will not compete with Algeria - on the contrary we will give the best support we can," Abu Rida said.
