Photo: Baby Born Without a (External Nasal Structures) Nose

Timothy Eli Thompson was born March 4, to the joy of his mother, but with a rare condition that leaves him without a nose. The condition called congenital complete arhinia leaves him without any external nasal structures and passage. This condition is found in 1 in 197 million people!

Eli's mother, Brandi McGlathery, knew something was special about Eli the minute her doctor laid him on her chest.

"I pulled back and said, 'Something's wrong!'" she told AL.com. "And the doctor said, 'No, he's perfectly fine.' Then I shouted, 'He doesn't have a nose!'"

After thorough examination in a neonatal intensive care unit, the doctors gave him a tracheotomy to help him breathe.

He's healthy now and go go home, but he'll be going with 25,000 new friends. And he isn't even a month old yet!

Eli, who is now Facebook famous has a fan page with over 25,000 fans documenting his story.
Someone even went ahead to set up a campaign fundraiser which has garnered about $7,000
