Teacher Commits Suicide in Kano
A male teacher of Karish College, Kano State, has committed suicide hanging from a fan in his apartment.
The deceased, Mr Femi Oguntimi, who left no suicide note was reported to have committed the act around 10 PM on Thursday.
Spokesperson of the police, DSP Haruna Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident, said the corpse has since been deposited in the mortuary and that a secret investigation has begun to ascertain the circumstances that led him to suicide.

BREAKING: One feared dead, many injured as explosion rocks Port Harcourt Mall in Rivers

Five people have been injured following a gas explosion that occurred at a shopping mall in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
the explosion occurred in the Kitchen area in the Mall leaving five persons seriously injured, and are currently receiving treatment at the Braithwaite Memorial Hospital.
He noted that things have since returned to normal with people going about their businesses.
DSP Omoni added that investigations are ongoing to unravel the cause of the gas explosion.

Nasiru Ali Threatens to Sue EFCC
Following his recent parade by the EFCC with another 9 suspected internet fraudsters, Abuja based music producer and photographer, Mr Nasiru Ali also known as “Kozzographa”, has threatened to sue the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC disclosed that its personnel raided the suspect’s residence in Abuja following a tip-off by an anonymous source, adding that suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
However, Ali in a petition filed on May 31 to the EFCC Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu, demanded a compensation of N100 million and an unreserved apology for libel and unlawful arrest.
The musician, through his lawyer, Mr Pelumi Olajengbensi, said that he would drag the EFCC to court for refusing to retract the negative publications about him after a seven-day ultimatum which he has given. He added that the defamation has caused him damages a minimum of five million naira, being a contract he lost with United Global Resolve for Peace (UNGREP).
