IDOMA INTERNATIONAL CARNIVAL 2017

It started as a one man's vision, one man's dream, a philanthropist's passion, he's a mentor and a leader, that man is Prince Edwin Ochai President of the Idoma International Carnival.

                                                             


Now its the biggest carnival celebrated all over the middle belt (north of the Niger) in the heart of the idoma nation Otukpo Benue state, Nigeria.

This year we are taking it a notch higher, expanding the horizons, breaking bars with the promise land in sight.

it's the IDOMA INTERNATIONAL CARNIVAL 2017; (formerly, AGILA CARNIVAL) the perfect blend of cultural heritage and entertainment scheduled to hold live from the 22nd to 25th December, 2017 in Otukpo,

the traditional headquarters of the Idoma land, the heart of the lion and Land of brave.

#OnThisDay: General Murtala Ramat Muhammed Assasinated On this Day 39 years ago

General Murtala Ramat Muhammed, born November 8, 1938, was assassinated in Lagos in February 13th 1976. He was just 38 years old and had only been head of State for less than seven months. 

The late Head of State who was well loved, took power on July 30th 1975 in a bloodless coup against Gen. Yakubu Gowon's administration. Gowon was overthrown while at an OAU summit in Uganda.
