Several news sources have been reporting that yesterday, a female suicide bomber attacked a car park located outside Gombe Stadium, where PresidentGoodluck Jonathan was attending a PDP campaign rally.

Vanguard reports that the incident occurred barely three minutes after the president left the stadium. The female bomber, as well as another woman are said to have died. Six others sustained injuries.
However, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that although the bombing did occur, it did not happen near the campaign venue.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Fwaje Atajiri, told NAN that contrary to reports on social media and other media that the blast occurred at the venue of the PDP campaign rally, the blast occurred near a carpenter’s shop in Kashere Street at the Water Board area in Gombe city.
