More than 200 Boko Haram terrorists have been killed by Chadian and Nigerian soldiers in Gamboru, according to reports.
The terrorists were killed in Gamboru, Borno State during a battle on Tuesday, February 3, Reuters reports.
Nine Chadian soldiers were also killed in the battle while 21 of them were left injured.
"This toll is provisional," the Chadian military said in a statement announcing the casualty figure.
Chad has deployed 2,500 of its soldiers to join the fight against Boko Haram in Nigeria and Cameroon and also conducted air strikes in Gamboru and recovered Malumfatori town from the terrorists.
