No fewer than six students of the Federal University of Agriculture Makurdi on Wednesday August 15th, 2018 lost their lives, several others injured after the bus conveying them reportedly lost control and collided with an Okada in the school premises.
The management of the school following the protest by the other students of the institution has declared an indefinite break.
The memo reads: “MID-SEMESTER BREAK
the vice chancellor has on behalf of the senate approved that students of the university of agriculture makurdi should proceed on mid-semester break with immediate effect.
By this notice all students are expected to handover all university property in the possession and vacate the campus before 2:00pm today, Wednesday 15th August 2018 until further notice.
Thank you.” The management added.
