Sokoto Governor Gifts Super Eagles Player, Abdullahi Shehu A House, Cash & Land (Photos)


Following his impressive performance with the Super Eagles at the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the Sokoto state governor has gifted Abdullahi Shehu a 4-bedroom apartment.

The Sokoto State Government has donated a hajj seat and a four bedroom house complex to Super Eagles player, Abdullahl Shehu, who is an indigene of the state after his impressive performance at the World Cup in Russia.

The State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, announced the donation while receiving Shehu who participated in the ongoing World Cup at the state government House in Sokoto.



Governor Tambuwal directed the state commissioner for lands and housing to identify a suitable land to be allocated to Abdullahi shehu for the construction of sports complex to be named after the footballer.

He told the football star that the state is proud of him and assured him of government's continuous support and encouragement.



In his remarks, Shehu thanked the state governor for the gifts given to him and also presented a Super Eagles jerseys to the state governor.

He wrote on Twitter; "I want to appreciate @GovSokoto Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for the honour today. The Governor gifted me a house, land to build my Sports Complex, sponsorship to Hajj & cash to support my foundation. I'm honoured to be blessed in my State & I'm delighted to be a good ambassador."



He added; "Great honour in my state today, It's a big privilege to be honoured. Big appreciation to @GovSokoto Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. I'm dedicating this amazing moment to you all for the support from the beginning."
