The 17 year old defensive player Fikayo Tomori has reportedly signed a professional contract with Chelsea Fc. The Canada born Nigerian footballer shared the good news on twitter .
Fikayo made his Under-18 debut as an Under-16 in August 2013 and made half a dozen appearances by Christmas, both at right-back and at centre-back, but his involvement tapered off thereafter as a result of his educational requirements, and the second half of the year was a quieter affair for him.
As a first-year scholar in 2014-15 he impressed so often in the first half of the campaign he was promoted to an Under-21 debut before Christmas. Going from strength to strength, he was a key figure in the club’s FA Youth Cup and UEFA Youth League successes and finished the season as an Under-21 regular.
Fikayo has no international representation to date. He is eligible to play for England, Nigeria, and Canada.
