He saw poverty early in life and was unable to do. Many things other kids did. The situation prepared him and it became ingrained in him that hard work does not kill but rather brings rewards in abundance.
With this mindset, and coupled with a burning desire to excel in life, the young PRINCE EDWIN OCHAI prepared himself for hills and valleys lining the road to the top. Two years after his birth in otukpo in otukpo local government area of Benue state, young EDWIN found himself in port-Harcourt. He was staying with his uncle there; he attended Air force primary school port-Harcourt.
He however had a bumpy secondary school experience as he first attended Obio College of commerce still in port-Harcourt form where he went to another college in Enugu on the transfer of his uncle. He later came to otukpo and was admitted into Wesley High school, otukpo in Benue state. Unfortunately, due to certain mix up notice in his admission, he could not continue there. He was to complete his secondary school at sight and sound secondary school, otukpo.
Staying in Otukpo he became Port Harcourt sick and fled to port Harcourt with another Uncle, Mr. Ralph Adadu who was into truck haulage. EDDIE, as fondly called by friends joined his uncles business as a conductor but after about three years he insisted he must go back to school but that would not be possible without working part time. However , at the course of loading and off loading goods from the truck and at the age of 17 driving the truck, young EDDIE stumbled into an American white man who fell in love with the resilience and hardworking of this very young man and decided to engage him.
Prince Edwin is Presently The President of Dyna Class International
Having been away from home for a long time couple with the urge to rewrite ugly history of the past, the accomplished business tycoon and captain of industries has purposely sunk himself into developing both human and natural resources particularly that of his part of birth.
Ask him about the path to selfless service and devotion to duties, he will promptly point the way. Perhaps, service could well fit in as his middle name. for PRINCE EDWIN OCHAI, service to humanity is a priority. No wonder he single handedly bought and donated a 200KVA transformer to Apa-Agila community proved that people have been in darkness for a long time.
Also angered by the SOCIO-ECONOMIC backwardness of his people the philanthropist, who is at best providing succor to the less privileged again saw the need to expose his people investment opportunities and them away from all in indices of underdevelopment. Therefore he initiated and sponsored a grand breaking event tagged AGILA SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CARIVAL where the rich cultural heritage of the people of that area was not only displayed but restored. Prizes of different kind were won by talented youth and economic roundtable organized to provoke economic potentials of the place.
