COVID 19: LARRY ZUKA, MY PERSPECTIVE

At times like these all we feel is pain, sorrow and frustration. A world in complete recess, Loved ones gone and earth seemingly in need of direction.

Never has it been that humans globally at same time will be locked in,not even when sadly the nuclear bomb was used. That brings me to my perspective.

As we grief together let's be hopeful together knowing that we will heal together with earth . Imagine the emissions that have gone silent , the oceans as they replenish, the wild that have rebirthed. An almost complete green earth awaits. Mother nature has forced us indoors so she could heal from our unrelenting battery.

The cars are off, the planes are down , the factories and their emissions are silent not for too long but for enough time to have clean air. Families have reunited , Enough time given for individuals lost in hustle and purpose  to Re-find themselves.

To all those that have left  because of the pandemic may they rest in peace and may God comfort there loved ones, And those fighting to survive..We will win together, and to the frontliners every day exposing themselves may God bless you.

When they rainbow finally shows and it's time to come out again , remember never to take earth for granted .@larzuka

Benue ex beauty queen becomes face of Nigeria wins a brand new car

Not Every dream requires sleep. Hard work is one of the best ways to accomplish your dreams says the new FACE OF NIGERIA 2019/20 QUEEN PRECIOUS DANIEL, a 23 year old political science graduate of the institute of business technology.

The pursuit for pageantry has always been an idea she’s had right from when she was 8yrs old, every Sunday when she dresses for church , she would stand in front of a mirror calling herself Cinderella, doing some imaginary rehearsals and cat walk.

She was keen on becoming a beauty queen and had participated in several pageants, where she faced her greatest fears. She was discouraged as it seemed like you had to know someone before you could win any beauty pageant. Undeterred by this challenge, she decided to take the bull by its horn, she decided to making it a life style, making sure she rehearsed every step took, worked on herself till she knew she was ready to face any beauty pageant stage. “I remember using my phone to watch miss Nigeria on YouTube a countless number of times, I had memorized almost every step, every wave and every question at this point I felt I was ready or any beauty pageant and entered
for the FACE OF IDOMA 2017/18 beauty pageant” she says.

Her hard work paid off as she emerged 1ST runner up in the FACE OF IDOMA 2017/18 beauty pageant. She became convinced that all it took was, a pinch of hard work, sprinkled with a bit of determination, rubbed in confidence and you’d become an unstoppable force. After her reign she, creatively searched on line or any pageantry that wasn’t just random, she wanted something more than just pageantry, she wanted a pageantry that would be a huge task. Face of Nigeria, just as the name sounds, seemed to her the next big stage in her career. She enrolled and although it was a tough one, but she remained focus on the price, her first fear was the fact that, they had contestants who came from outside Nigeria, girls who were top models and former beauty queens, tall beautiful girls, intelligent etc.

“I remember my first day in camp, it was as if I was in the wrong place, everyone kept to themselves, I was shy at first, then I said to myself Precious let do this, and the following day I had made 5 new friends” she says laughing out loud. “On the final day, during the announcement of the winners, my heart was pounding as they had just called the second WINNER and my name wasn’t mentioned. I couldn’t believe I was going to be in the top spot, I felt I had deserved either the 2nd runner up or the 3rd runner up” She says.

Hard work paid off again as she was crowned the FACE OF NIGERIA 2019/20. When asked what the crown meant to her she said, “it means I’m improving, I’m getting better by the day, its one step at a time until I’m MISS NIGERIA.

She intends to make the world a better place starting with Nigeria, where her pet project is set on making Nigeria green. Her GREEN ENVIRONMENT, BLUE HEALTH project is set to feature in most states in Nigeria. The new face of Nigeria is set to make Nigeria proud, she recently got a management deal with FINISH MEDIA and she promises to do the best she can. Her advice to everyone who wishes to become something is, work hard with the right mindset, and then shoot for the stars.

For over 3 decades, the border conflicts between Benue and Ebonyi States particularly between Ado Local Government of Benue State and Ohuakwu Local Government of Ebonyi has endured little results born out of the efforts to permanently subdue it.

Recent developments however seem to concretize the efforts to bring the protracted discord to an end as the Presidency after holding tripartite meetings with the Governors of the two states has directed and funded the National Boundary Commission to immediately take necessary steps and demarcate the boundary for lasting peace.

In his determination to help the Comission deliver on record time, the Benue State Deputy Governor who doubles as Chairman, Benue State Boundary Committee, Engr. Benson Abounu  yesterday, Monday October 28, 2019 inaugurated the Benue Wing of the Boundary Peace Committee to undertake a facts mission and submit its findings within one month.

B. Ensure the border communities desist from the use of land and its resources in the disputed area pending the final demarcation of the boundary by National Boundary commission (NBC)
C. Appeal to border communities on the use of dialogue or any Alternative Dispute Resolution ( ADR) method of peace building instead of the use of violence to resolve conflict thereby creating a peaceful environment to enable National boundary commission demarcate the boundary.
D. Harmonize and integrate various interest groups into the peace building process.
E. Liaise with the state boundary committee for proper functioning of BENUE state component of the Joint Peace Committee.
F. Address any other matter that is relevant to the success of the committee towards resolving the boundary dispute.

Ado Local Government Caretaker Chairman, Hon. James Oche who is elated by this development has expressed the willingness of his administration to provide logistical and technical support to aid the process. He has equally charged members of the Committees in Benue and Ebonyi States to deliver on record time.

Mr. Oche who stated this yesterday in Makurdi shortly after the inauguration exercise further expressed his appreciation to Benue State Governor, Dr. Samuel Ortom for his resoluteness to ensuring a permanent end to the crisis. He has also hailed the Presidency and the National Boundary Commission for their efforts and appreciated the Deputy Governor, Engr Benson Abounu and the State Boundary Commissioner, Mr. Z.T Ade for their sacrifice to ensure commendable outcomes.

Mr. Oche has advised that, as a way of finalising the efforts to the issue,  the Federal Government should adopt the invaluable submissions of Hon. Allegedly Hired Crowd Counter Protest Against COZA Senior Pastor

In reaction to the protest by the #ChurchToo movement demanding justice for Busola Dakolo allegedly raped by the COZA senior pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo over a decade ago, a counter protest sprung up in Abuja.

Reports have it that the counter-protesters were hired by the church to stop the action of protesters, as one of the young men allegedly hired told newsmen that they were paid N10,000 each for the project. "Money is talking," he exclaimed on camera.

While Fatoyinbo yet denies the allegation, the separate protests in Lagos and Abuja have further fueled debate on the issue, especially online.
